Travix is a modular monolith — 35 independent domain modules communicating via events, designed for microservices extraction when scale demands it.
Event-driven modules
Modules emit and listen to domain events — invoice.created, payment.received, approval.required — via an internal event bus designed to swap with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Repository pattern
All database access flows through tenant-scoped repositories. Services never call the database directly, ensuring isolation and testability.
Cryptographic ledger integrity
Ledger entries form a hash chain. Any tampering or corruption is detectable on verification, providing mathematical proof of data integrity.
Feature flags per tenant
Travel ERP, OCR, advanced reports, and API access are gated by plan-level feature flags with per-tenant overrides — no code deployments to enable modules.
Real-time by default
WebSocket notifications deliver invoice updates, approval requests, and system alerts in real time. Socket.IO rooms are scoped by tenant for isolation.
