Travix Cloud is a modular monolith — 35 independent domain modules talking to each other through events, designed to peel apart into microservices whenever scale demands it.
Event-driven modules
Modules emit and listen to domain events — invoice.created, payment.received, approval.required — through an internal event bus built to swap in Kafka or RabbitMQ later.
Repository pattern
All database access runs through tenant-scoped repositories. Services never touch the database directly, which keeps isolation and testability intact.
Cryptographic ledger integrity
Ledger entries form a hash chain, so any tampering or corruption shows up on verification — mathematical proof your data is intact, not just a promise.
Feature flags per tenant
Travel ERP, OCR, advanced reports, and API access are all gated by plan-level feature flags with per-tenant overrides — enabling a module never requires a code deployment.
Real-time by default
WebSocket notifications deliver invoice updates, approval requests, and system alerts as they happen. Socket.IO rooms are scoped by tenant for isolation.

Every mutation — create, update, delete, approve, post — gets logged with actor, timestamp, before/after values, and IP address. Logs are append-only.
Encryption everywhere
TLS 1.2+ in transit. AES-256 at rest. Encrypted backups stored in geographically separate regions with tested restore procedures.
RBAC with granular permissions
Roles, teams, branches, and permission templates control access at the module, action, and data-scope level, with pre-built templates for common agency roles.
