Month-End Close Guide
Run trial balance, reconcile bank and vendor statements, review aging reports, and close your accounting period.

Before you close
Review the trial balance to confirm debits equal credits, check AR/AP aging for anything that needs a recovery follow-up, and run Ledger Reconciliation against your bank and key vendor statements to catch discrepancies before they get locked into a closed period.
Closing the period
From Accounting Periods, closing a period generates an immutable trial-balance snapshot and locks every posted voucher inside it — no further edits are possible without a formal reopen.
Reopening a closed period
Reopen is restricted to super-admin roles and gets fully audit-logged, so it's there for genuine corrections without turning into a routine workaround for a lax close process.
